About Trickster™
Trickster is a label created to inject some fun into life. We do what we like in the knowledge that somebody out there will agree with it. Have fun, be creative and subversive. Become a Trickster.

The Ranges
We currently produce 4 ranges:
  • Trickster originals (our label range)
  • TricksterGirl (something for the ladies)
  • Gunplay (Play, don't fight)
  • Takeout (Fast and takeaway food)

Our ranges cover many designs, all of which reflect our company ethic of fun, creativity and subversion.

We aren't political, nor are we trying to change the world. Instead we hope to inject a little of our carefree and mischievious spirit into life.

You can find out more about each of our products by clicking the thumbnails on the left.

Quality
We insist on the highest quality products: for example we only use 100% cotton, double stitched Tees with a larger cut for a more comfortable fit.

Why Trickster?

The theme of the Trickster appears in almost all traditional cultures around the world as a spirit who is creative, subversive and mischievious.

In Native American culture, the trickster is an imaginative, mischevious spirit, often portrayed as a Coyote or Raven, who gave the sun to humanity and who represents creativity.

In Japan, tricksters are Badger, Tengu. , mischievous trickster spirits, and Kitsune, a shape-shifter. In Europe and South and Central America the trickster can be Fox or Wolf. Norse mythology has Loki as their trickster. Greek mythology has Hermes as theirs whilst the Trickster in Aotearoa (NZ) and across the Pacific Islands is Maui.

Our Coyote head logo (show above) is borne out of this ancient global tradition.
